This is why we must find time for each other during the week, to fully enjoy these moments.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this article, there are <\/span><b><i>5 TIPS<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to help you find a balance between work and home life. These tips and routines can be used to improve relationships between family members and improve the wellbeing of everyone, both young and old.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>1-<\/b><b> Organise meals together:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eating together might seem simple, but it\u2019s a great reason to share a moment with family, to listen to each other, discuss something or even debate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dinners not only nourish hungry tummies but also family bonds. (Haha)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>A little advice<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: It is recommended to eat dinner between 7pm and 8pm. Eating too close to bedtime makes it harder to fall asleep. Also, avoid heavy meals, eating white meat or fish instead.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>2- <\/b><b>Try meditation as a family:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Practising meditation as a family is a great activity for strengthening relationships and easing tensions. It is also a good time to share a moment without interruptions, such as phones, radio, TV, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meditation has many benefits, including reducing stress and improving the quality of sleep and concentration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sitting cross-legged, focus on your breathing and your body whilst enjoying the present moment with yourself, your children, your spouse and\/or friends.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><b>S.T.O.P. exercise:<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>S<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> = Stop what you\u2019re doing or thinking.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>T<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> = Take a breath, connecting with your body.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>O<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> = Observe your breathing, feelings and emotions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>P<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> = Participate in sharing your emotions with others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong> \u00a0 \u00a0 Teach children to focus on their breathing<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Invite your children to take a break from their activities. Whilst sitting down, ask them to feel the temperature difference between the air that they breathe in and the air that they breathe out.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Then, encourage them to feel their breath in their body by asking them to put a hand on their tummy and feel as it expands and deflates with air. They will feel their breath as it moves in their ribcage and throat.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After the session is finished, ask them how they are feeling. Finally, suggest that they perform this technique if needed at any point during their day.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>3- <\/b><b>Play with your children:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Children love games, even more so when it is with their parents. Here is a game which will help maintain strong family bonds.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b> <\/b><b>The card game of emotions<\/b><b> (created by psychologist Jeanne Siaud-Facchin):<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This game allows you to learn to feel and communicate your emotional feelings.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The players take turns to draw a card at random and answer the prompt that they have in their hands.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The cards address both positive and negative experiences and therefore give children the opportunity to verbalise what they have experienced.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before beginning, be sure to warn the players about the importance of understanding and kindness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Cut up 7 small pieces of paper, write on them, shuffle them, then take it in turns to draw a card:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Say what scares me the most<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Say which present I have enjoyed the most<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tell my funniest memory\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Describe my biggest dream<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Say what makes me the angriest\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Say what makes me the saddest\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tell the person to my right their most important quality<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do at least 4 rounds of the table.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>4- <\/b><b>Share the love of reading with your children:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is important to give children a taste for reading. Reading brings great curiosity, as well as a wider general culture. Through reading, both children and adults can develop their knowledge of many subjects. As a family, reading provokes many discussions in various areas. We can conclude that sharing knowledge strengthens connections.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>5- <\/b><b>Give and receive hugs:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b> <\/b><b>Good for self-confidence<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hugs improve both self-confidence and self-esteem. Babies are instantly soothed when their parents hug them gently. They are reassured by the love that we have for them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now, these distant memories are still present in adults. In fact, cuddles have a calming effect for us too, producing an immediate feeling of wellbeing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Reduces stress<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has been demonstrated by scientists that giving and receiving hugs lowers stress hormones in order to promote the release of feel-good hormones in the body (endorphins).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Improves sleep<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cuddling before bed predisposes you to a better state of mind and leads to more peaceful sleep.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b><i>Pssst<\/i><\/b><b> :\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is also important for your well-being to spend time with your partner.
