This Chrismtas, BHV, the quintessential Parisian department store, is going British! And to honour the return of everyone’s favourite nanny Mary Poppins, to cinema screens, BHV and Be My Nounou are joining forces to create the ultimate nannying team for the festive season.
From the 28th November to 23rd December 2018, BHV RIVOLI MARAIS is opening a free child sitting service from 2pm to 7pm with Be My Nounou nannies. Perfect for keeping the kids occupied while parents tackle the Christmas shopping…
To celebrate the film The Return of Mary Poppins (a sequel to the 1964 classic) released on 14th November 2018, BHV has chosen the theme “Le Fabuleux Noël de Mary Poppins” (Mary Poppins’ Fabulous Christmas) and will be decorating their store in the heart of the Marais, with tonnes of British trimmings and surprises throughout the Christmas period.
From traditional English taxis to transport you and your shopping home in style, to personalised presents and gift wrapping, BHV is the (British) place to be for all your shopping needs.
But, parents all know, you need at least two hands to carry your Christmas shopping, and four more (and as many eyeballs) to keep up with your children in a busy shopping store.
Here’s where we come in…
For kids between 3 and 12 years old, Be My Nounou’s hand-selected team of British Super Nounous will be pulling out all the stops with activities and games, à l’anglaise. We’re decamping to the 5th Floor of BHV for the Christmas period, where our charming nannies are setting up a babysitting service to rival Mary Poppins. Drop off your children with us, free of charge, and get to work on Santa’s shopping list – happy in the knowledge that they’re in good hands.
The Super Nounous at Be My Nounou are specially chosen for their creativity and sense of adventure — there’s a reason why our motto is #InFunWeTrust!
Our queens of creative will be engaging kids in lots of festive games, including making Christmas decorations and baubles — great for adding their fun touch to the Christmas tree. There’s also going to be a giant blackboard in place which everyone can add their festive masterpieces to.
Given as Mary Poppins is always flawless from head to toe and we will be recreating her signature style. Children can decorate their own version of her famous hat, complete with flowers and cherries, to take home and keep. All activities will be carried out in the language of Shakespeare, courtesy of our native or bilingual nannies.
